Speakers

Here's your chance to present research findings in a lively, graphic manner, speaking directly to your peers. If you are burning to reveal what you have discovered and disclose what you know, tell us about it! Many conferences allow speakers to ramble on and bore their audiences with lengthy PowerPoint presentations.

In 7 Minutes of Fame you have exactly that amount of time - not a second more - to tell the conference audience what you have been up to in your research project, what you have found, and where you think the findings lead us. Simple rules for this exercise are:

  • Speak directly to the audience, informally and without reading from a script
  • No PowerPoint or text presentations onscreen - you may not talk to a visual outline
  • You may project slides and illustrations, so long as there are only a few
  • Show and tell, speak and reveal.
  • The chair will limit questions. Discussion of of presentations will take place in plenary and in the informal gatherings.

Let's hear from you!
