Americo
Muchanga is an electronics engineering specialist. Born in Mozambique, he
has been the Director of
Eduardo Mondlane University Informatics Centre (CIUEM) since 1997. He is
also a member of the Executive Secretariat for the ICT Policy Commission.
Eng. Muchanga has helped the start-up of Internet in Mozambique and believes
in the massification of ICT use as a tool to contribute to his country’s
development.
Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Royal Institute of Technology of
Sweden on the topic of interdomain routing for optical networks.
